After following behind Colbie Caillat, Kanye West, and Kenny Chesney for about 2 weeks on iTunes at position #9 in pre-orders, 50 has made an incredible surge to #1 after his album Curtis released yesterday. The #1 bought album on iTunes, meaning he has surpassed them all in sales atleast on iTunes.
It is rumored the release of his new single, Follow My Lead ft. Robin Thicke has contributed to his boost in sales.

i don’t see how either of the albums are particularly better. graduation is, musically, crafted in a superior fashion, but ye’s subject matter of being the conflicted materialist gets old fast. 50’s bitches, violence/drugs and club formula is grating as well. that said, i have been bumping each album back and forth, and both are good. they are completely different things, so the whole better/worse argument kinda sucks.

Personally I’m not looking at this as any sort of betrayal. As yall know Cam and Jim had drifted apart prior to this 50 feud. ^Not necessarily. For all we know, Cam probably been lyin’ for years about how he was “holdin’ Jim down” until that tape was released. Yeah, he probably knew Cam wasn’t a scrapper, but he probably didn’t think that money ran him on like that. Plus when he got up and saw that Cam wasn’t in the proximity, his first thought was to get up outta there as quick as possible. But on the same token, Cam probably held him down financially all those years. Cam was to Jim what Mase was supposed to be for Cam (which is why they had fallin-out afterwards). If you can remember, Jim was in videos and droppin’ verses here and there on records. ^Valid point. But who’s to say that they ever had a situation like that before? I mean, I’m pretty sure he knew Cam wasn’t hard-body (pause). But I highly doubt that he thought Cam would do somethin’ like THAT. Not to mention that it was filmed which means it publically embarrases the crew. Like I said, I’m not sayin’ he ever thought Cam was a thorough ninja, but at LEAST not a dude who would pull such a stunt in a situation like that. ESPECIALLY when we got reason to believe that Cam probably lied all those years about how he held him down during the fight. Like they say… whatever is in the dark will come to light. It was just a matter of time for Cam’s card to get pulled. COC, COF, and SDE still fiya though, lol.

^Yoooo… pops went and replaced the hoses. I was drivin’ to school today and the next thing you know I smell antifreeze and the car is smokin’ again. I had to pull over on a side street a few blocks up from class and get my walk on. But like the tow truck man was sayin’ when I was stranded on 95, it’s probably the water pump. And my pops think it is too. So I had to end up gettin’ it towed again, so now it’s sittin’ at Firestone. I’ll be on the good ol’ MTA tomorrow to and from school. But fortunately it will be a nice day tomorrow and they should have the problem fixed in no time.

I still dont know why 50 went and released ‘Curtis’ on 9/11 in the States, after he had released it in Australia (Sep 8th), England (Sep 10th)… I dont know about the rest of Europe, but it was probably out there too before 9/11… Does 50 know he’s doomed in the states, so he might as well try and get a headstart in the rest of the world?
